Marie's Vision
As a certified tour guide through Team Jamaica and TPDCo, Marie witnessed visitors searching for authentic cultural connections beyond typical tourist attractions.
"People come to Jamaica wanting to feel our culture, not just see it. They want to learn, participate, and take something meaningful home."
Born and raised in Montego Bay, Marie grew up watching her grandmother create beautiful pottery with traditional techniques passed down through generations. Every piece told a story, every design had meaning.
That's when the vision crystallized - A Mi Mek It was born as a place where visitors could learn traditional crafts, cook authentic meals, and connect with the real spirit of Jamaica through hands-on experiences.

Nestled in the heart of Montego Bay, our property is a slice of paradise surrounded by lush fruit trees and the natural beauty of Jamaica.
From mango and ackee trees to coconut palms, our property showcases the bounty of our island. Many fruits used in our cooking workshops come straight from these trees!
The space is designed to feel like home - because that's exactly what it is. Our workshops happen in open-air pavilions where you can hear birds singing and feel the Caribbean breeze while you learn.
